Classes & Eligibility
SERVING STUDENTS PRE-K TO 12TH GRADE
New Horizons Academy offers classes for children from preschool to 12th Grade.
Preschoolers: 3, 4 and 5 year olds attend half or full day programs and may attend school daily. Students are involved in developmental and pre-academic activities on their level and work directly on language, cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, social skills and school behaviors. Preparation for kindergarten in the areas of academics, social and behavior modification is the goal of the pre-kindergarten program.
Primary & Elementary: Kindergarten through 5th grade attend school daily. Students are involved in developmental and academic activities on each child’s level.
Middle & High School: Students in 6th to 12th grade attend school daily. A team teaching/class changing approach is used. Their schedule includes language arts, math, science and social.
New Horizons Academy admits students and does not discriminate on the basis or race, color, creed, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarships or other school administered programs.
New Horizons Academy enrolls children age 3 and up with problems that interfere with satisfactory functioning and progress in regular classroom programs or at home. This may include but is not limited to:
- Attention Deficit Disorders
- Intellectual disabilities
- Developmental delays
- Physical disabilities
- Vision/hearing impaired
- Seizure disorders
- Speech & language disorders
- Autism/PDD (Pervasive Developmental Disorders)
