DESCRIPTION:It’s time for Ohio’s required state assessments\, and at New Horizons Academy\, our focus remains right where it belongs—on the well-being and individual needs of our students. \nWe recognize that standardized testing is not always an appropriate or meaningful reflection of the abilities\, progress\, or potential of students with unique learning and developmental needs. While these assessments are a state requirement\, we understand that they often provide little insight into the remarkable growth and accomplishments we witness in our classrooms every day. \nOur dedicated teachers and staff will work to make the testing experience as comfortable\, supportive\, and stress-free as possible\, providing appropriate accommodations and encouragement along the way. \nWe simply ask our families to approach this testing period with patience\, understanding\, and a positive attitude. Encourage your child to do their best\, but please don’t place unnecessary pressure on them.
